ERM 2020 will take place at the Exhibition and Conference Centre located at Wawel Royal Castle in Kraków. This central location in the heart of the city assures convenient transport and easy access to the great variety of accommodation and city life afforded by Kraków.
The building, which houses the Exhibition and Conference Centre at Wawel Royal Castle, was erected in the second half of the 19th century following a design by the Cracovian architect Feliks Księżarski.
The Wawel Royal Castle and the Wawel Hill constitute the most historically and culturally important site in Kraków, and the ERM’s location in this setting will enable the meeting to explore the meeting theme through aspects of Polish history. For centuries the residence of kings and the symbol of Polish statehood, the castle is now one of the country’s premier art museums. The collections of the Wawel Royal Castle are presented in several permanent exhibitions that evoke the historic appearance of the royal residence in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.

The 13th-century merchants’ town has Europe’s largest market square and numerous historical houses, palaces and churches with their magnificent interiors. EXTENDED STAY IN KRAKOW

MUSEUM AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU
There are many reasons to extend the stay in and around Kraków, if you wish to arrive earlier or stay after the meeting ends. Above all we would like to emphasise the possibility of visiting Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau http://auschwitz.org/en/
The tour takes about 6-7 hours and usually includes:
- pick up from the meeting point,
- drive to Auschwitz (approximately 1h + queue to the security gates ~ 15 min.),
- admissions fee,
- sightseeing with a guide (around 2h)
- most of the tours also include a drive to Birkenau (5 min.)
